Learning different styles is often accomplished through the process of transcribing drumbeats by listening repeatedly to recordings. There are play along recordings with books that explain some of the essential sounds and rhythms used in a variety of musical styles. Professional drummers must be acquainted with a myriad of styles to adapt to most playing situations.
Afro-Cuban Style
